
Dr. Omri Abend's fields of research are Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing. Specifically, he conduct research on semantic (meaning) representation from a computational perspective. Omri's research is tightly linked to statistical learning, language technology, such as machine translation and information extraction, and to the computational modeling of child language acquisition.
Omri was a research associate in the University of Edinburgh, working with Mark Steedman. He earned his PhD from the Hebrew University
of Jerusalem, supervised by Ari Rappoport.
