Rotem Botvinik-Nezer's lab studies how beliefs and expectations are formed and updated given new information, and how they affect mental, social, and physiological processes, in the placebo effect and beyond. The lab is using diverse tools, including behavioral experimental manipulations, computational modeling, and neuroimaging (mainly MRI). The lab also proactively conducts and promotes open and reproducible scientific research, with a particular emphasis on reproducibility, transparency, and robustness to analytical decisions.
